Oh Neville, yoo-hoo, Neville! Where are you? This means the late British PM, Neville Chamberlain, the champion of extremely naive, gullible fools the world over. Hes the smoothy who, prior to World War II, actually felt that, with his personal intervention, charm, gentlemanly nature, diplomatic and bargaining skills, he could appeal to Adolph Hilters better judgement, conscience and sense of fair play and come up with the Munich Agreement. Following the meeting with Schicklgruber (Hitler), with signed document firmly in hand, Neville confidently assured his nation and the rest of the world, proudly, There will be peace in our time. Thats it; he had Hitlers word and signature on the agreement and thats all it took. Just because Adolph was a murdering, genocidal cutthroat and hate monger was no reason to think that hed tell a fib and welsh on a promise. That was over 75 years ago and were still waiting for the peace in our, or anyones, time. A lot of people have been bumped off since Neville assured our ancestors that everything was just peachy in our world. I have one question, though - when does our time begin, Neville? When does the peace kick in, exaclty? Do Boko Haram, ISIS, or Al-Queda know about this anticipated peace and endless bliss? It sure doesnt seem like they got the message so far.
