Oh Sweetheart! The joy and sunshine you bring to my life everyday of our lives together. When I first met you, I was limping and was so weak on one side of my body. I always knew, since I was born that I had this deformity. I also knew that I would never be happy nor my life complete without finding my rib that would make me whole and enable me walk this journey of life in style, When am whole; despite all the challenges that life would offer along the way. My intuition had always told me that the challenges would be there and that there would be many of them, but the same voice of my soul, my sixth sense, that small and still voice of God deep inside the center of my being, told me that if I found my true rib, the perfect match, life would be bearable and I would be able to face it in my stride and win a lot of affection from the true source of my love, your spirit my dear. And then one day, as I was walking in the streets of a small town in Limuru, Kenya, I stumbled on you. I saw you and immediately I knew even before I had found the courage, in my joy, to say anything to you, that you were she! I wisphered to the only person who had attempted close proximity in my life, my late brother; I told him that I had found the love of my life. Peter, never doubted my intuition, so he believed my prophecy, or so it was then; he urged me on by telling me, Josey, as they used to call me then, go for it boy. Those were the words I needed. To me God had spoken, and had ordained my insight in your being. I knew instantly that with you, I would elude unhappiness for the rst of my life. I also knew that you would bear me the most beautiful , loving, intelligent and kindest children ever. So, my dear, I went ahead and gained courage, ever so careful not to make the simplest mistake and scare you away. I approached you with all the caution I could master. You see, to me it was like a hunting game and I was the hunter and you the hunted my dear. But I did not aim, like Esau to kill and eat the spoil,, asha, but like the cleaver Jacob, I wanted to catch the game, take it home where I had built a pen and tame my catch and make it my goose that laid the golden eggs for me, for the rest of my life; and so, I crouched and crawled, getting ever so closer to you, and there you were, seated like perfect sitting duck,and all I had to do was jump and catch you unawares. But I did not know that you had sensed me a long time ago and had in your wisdom, waited in anticipation for your mighty man of valor, yet pretending that you did not see me crouch and crawl, you made the game the more fun. And then I made myself ready for that final leap for the catch...then you burst out with the most beautiful laughter as we rolled together and have never stopped laughing, not even for a single day, just like we did that day, upto this date, just because you were my perfect match. I am therefore grateful that today, am able to witness you blow, yet another candle, as together, we add another year into our lives. But today, is not a celebration like any other. Today is special birthday for you and I wish to reveal a secret I have always hidden in my heart; the only secret that I have never shared with you, but one I can withhold from you no more. My dear, my friend, my love, my companion and the mother of my children, If i have become anybody in my life today, it is because of you. If I have made any achievement in my walk in this life, it is because of the support, love and care that you have accorded me. In you I would always ask myself, what more would a man ask for? In your zeal to make the best of your other half, you forgot yourself and lost yourself in me teaching me how to reciprocate in return. You made it appear just as we read in fairytale many years ago, when we were small children, stories of the good, small angel and how she had saved her prince from the ugly giant of the cruel world; and the two lived happily ever thereafter, celebrating many birthdays together! Babe, you mean the world to me and I love my world so, so much, HAPPY BIRTHDAY MY LOVE!
