Oh Thailand. Where can I possibly begin. I know its a bit late as I am now in the middle of Sri Lanka, but still how I miss you so. I saw bamboo grow taller then buildings, I watched the military take complete control and succeed in maintaining the peace. I built beds, painted benches and played volleyball/soccer with underprivileged orphans. I caught up and spent quality time with a great friend I have not seen since my first year of uni days. I partied hard in Bangkok to the point in my mind; entire nights never existed. I made some AMAZING friends from all over the world (predominately France). I learnt French, alas; only petite quantité. I got bitten by a monkey. Consequently I contracted rabies from said monkey. I lived off scooters, hugged tigers danced with cobras and ate scorpions. I had one of the best Sunday nights of my life in chiang mai with some incredibly like minded, radical people, I had a chat with the princess of Thailand, and was blown away by a rock climbing wall in the back of a bar. I played frisbee with people from all over the globe. I lived with elephants, working within the most amazing sanctuary to ever exist, and in turn, Learnt how incredibly naive I have been to elephant tourist this whole time. I hacked my shin with a machete, and jumped off 20 odd metre cliffs into deep, warm water. I had the most unbelievable experience within my 6 weeks of Thailand, and met honestly some of the most awesome people in my life so far. For those fellow travellers reading, you know who you are. I always knew Sri Lanka would have some big shoes to fill, but only now that I am here do I truly appreciate my time in what I think is one of the worlds most beautiful places. Thank you for every moment Thailand. Long live the king.
