Oh.. Youre going to school for worship? Whats your back up plan? Where do you see yourself in 5 years+, will you get paid doing that? Etc. Etc. I cant tell you how many times Ive gotten all the above questions and concerns. I mentally prepare myself every time someone asks what Im going to school for. What are you going to school for? Well, here we go.. Worship, at the international house of prayer. In come the previous list of questions.. Honestly, I let it roll off my shoulders most of the time. I never intended to gain the approval of man for my calling. A lot of times it comes from a good place of worry and concern for my financial well-being. Theres just one question that really bothers me about it all. Its this: What do you want to do with that, where do you see yourself? As valid, and important as that question is.. It seems that people expect me to have my future planned out. They expect me to have all my ducks in a row, and shooting them ever so gracefully as trance along in the field of wild flowers. No? Absolutely not. That is the most definitely not the case. I said I was going to be a worshipper.. That is EXACTLY what Im going to be doing with the worship degree I obtain. If thats in a church, or multiple churches then that is where itll be. If its at a prayer house, then thats where itll be. If I am unemployed for a few years, and Im praying to God to open up doors; then that is what Ill be doing. When I said YES to God, I didnt mean but only if it meets this requirement for my life plan. I have goals and dreams that God already is more than aware of. He did in fact put them there, and yes I am following my dreams. Since before I knew what it meant to get a song from God, I would title it a song I dont know. That is factual I have a colorful song written my little me with that actual title. I dont worry about finances, or my future because God is faithful, and I know beyond a shadow of a doubt that He will provide in every way. He will bless me far more exceedingly then I could imagine. So, no I dont have a single clue where I will be in five years, or in one year. However, where ever it is I know that Ill be doing what God has called me to. That ladies and gentlemen is more then enough job security then I need.
