Oh boy, today was just not my day with Arty. I know I mentioned that I walk him lead free around my neighborhood daily. Hes perfect stays with me and never strays more than a foot or two. Walk him in a city setting several times a week on a lead, hes perfect. Today, I had to drop my schnauzer at his play house, so on the ride over Arty was whining like he had to go. Ok, I took the schnauzer in and came back to let Arty out on a lead. He jumped out of the truck and took off like rocket, taking me with him. I hit the pavement you see my hand and my shoulder. Then he got completely away from me in the dog daycare parking lot. Fortunately no cars were coming and after several calls he returned. He wanted to get to the dogs in the back. He cant play there until hes fixed. So his training tells me not to give him an inch. Make him sit and work for everything. Argh! Just a bad day. I will be sore for a few days. My point is not to ever forget how powerful these dogs are.
