Oh, dear. An author I greatly admire is rapidly sinking into hot water because of a recent release that pushed too many readers Dont go there! buttons. :( I havent read the book, so I cant comment beyond expressing my regrets. But here are some questions. What are *your* hard limits? If an author crossed one, would you get on Amazon or Goodreads to talk about it (for the sake of warning other like-minded readers), or would you keep your opinion to yourself? Do you think people with review blogs in particular have a duty to apprise readers of books that contain potential triggers? (I read a story last year that proved a HUGE turnoff for me. I honestly couldnt fathom how anybody could like it. I said nothing about my reaction, anywhere. But then again, I think most writers are reticent, and understandably so, about voicing negative opinions on public forums.)
