Oh dear God! That being said, though, as my friend Simon brilliantly pointed out, and please do check his status for this because he said it way better than I will here, the wild extremism of Sun Media only serves to make the ordinary Right-Wingness of the Globe and Mail, the Post, and other mainstream conservative voices and the politicians they support seem reasonable and respectable. That is, in fact, the function of Sun Media and outlets like it, just like the TEa Party in the STates is there to make the cruel radical neo-liberalism of regular Republicans seem banal. Anyway, the point is, dont fall for it! Whether it rants and raves like Rob Ford or quietly speaks the language of the corporate board-room, its still Capitalist, White male privilege that doesnt give a rats ass about women, poor people, people of colour or the dis/abled (unless theyve made it and can be shown as tokens), or the real health of our society!
