Oh dear,oh dear!!! Someone called whose mother found a baby duck,baby goose-not a Canada Goose-and baby chick in a box under a bridge in Scarborough. Additionally, I had a long chat with a woman whose daughter brought home a 10 wk old pig mid-December; shes now about 10 months old and very sweet, gets along with cats and dogs. Unfortunately, this woman is renting her home and neighbours have begun complaining to the town.Oh, how difficult this part of running a sanctuary is!! We took Poomba because poor Wally had died and we did in fact have room for a fifth pig..but a sixth?? I suggested her daughter, a vet tech student, ask her profs for some vets that work with farmed animals to see if anyone knows of a client looking for another pot belly pig. I guess we COULD possibly at least take the duckling, seeing as we have 4 now..oh gosh, this is sooooooo... difficult!!!
