Oh mamas of little ones, seize the gift of this day. I used to get aggravated when people tried to tell me children grow up too fast. Having 5 kids, the days didnt feel fast. They felt overwhelmingly full at times. While I was very grateful, I was constantly stretched beyond what I felt I could handle some days. I was tired. Everything felt imperfect. And I often wondered if I was doing anything right. But all those little daily investments... the stories read, the bedtime prayers, the games played, the snuggles on the couch, and even the stress of getting them all dressed and to church... its worth it. Today matters more than you know. Hold them close. Let them see you laugh. And thank God in the midst of it all. I just spent an entire day with my daughter, Ashley, in her college world.
