Oh man. Im almost too ready for food coma to do this right now. Time to man up and make it happen. Thats right; its Bachelor Gourmet! As I mentioned earlier, tonights theme is On A Whim. Basically, I was on my way home from work and thought, I want fajitas! But I dont want people who know what theyre doing to make them! So I hit the ol IGA, picked up some Makins™ and descended upon my kitchen with a terrible need to stuff my gob and entertain you. One red and one green bell pepper plus half a small onion. Diced the onion and half of each pepper to spread the flavor around the pan better. I love the way the beef soaks up the flavor of the veggebles. Then julienne the other half of the peppers for the fajitas. Wash your hands before you touch anything else: especially your face! Heat a pan with 2Tbsp of veggeble oil to medium high, then throw in the rabbit food and cook until soft. Move that noise to another dish for a mo. Beef time! Same pan to get all that flavorful goodness. Leave it at med-high and simmer til its brown. Not a bad idea to use a grease screen if you have one. Once the beef looks good and debolaed, add the veg back in and if you have some kind of seasoning, now is the time. I used Lawrys Fajita Seasoning. Add the powder to a 1/4 cup of water, mix well and pour it over the beefy veggy party. I drained the grease and yuck from the pan first, but thats totally your call. You want to get the brown water to boil, then turn the temp down a couple notches and let it simmer off. Then its tortillas, trimmins and tasties to finish off this foray into poor impulse control. #bachelorgourmet
