Oh my, I have a new favorite cake! I found this on Southern Living Taste of Home website. Its PEAR Upside Down Cake and it just so happens that I had a few extra pears. So simple.... stick of melted butter in 9x13 pan, peel cut core and slice ripe pears until you cover the bottom, sprinkle with brown sugar and pecans. In a seperate bowl mix a yellow cake mix, 1 cup of milk, and 2 eggs. Pour over the pears and bake at 350 for 35-40 minutes. Let cool 5 min before you flip to platter and serve hot (ice cream optional). Delicious!!! Thank you for the brown sugar Tony Riddle.
