Oh my! This annoyed the mess out of me at first, but he has some good points I guess. Their clothing isnt bad, nor are the other points he mentioned for them to keep in mind, especially getting receipts...but jeez, I feel for Black parents. This worry has to be hard. I honestly dont know how Id deal with this. I come from hip hop culture, so Im not necessarily against some of what young Brothers wear. I saw a youngin with a sweater on with a picture of Biggie with a gold grown on it, and I made it my business to stop him and compliment him, lol. It was fly to me. Not to wear everywhere, but it was fly to me. If my son wanted that sweater, I wouldnt necessarily be mad at him. At the end of the day, we know its not really about what they were wearing or what they had in their hands or whether or not their hands were up...if a racist wants to kill a Black child or man that day, they will. We really need to be taking some time to figure out the consequences for that, and be ready to carry it out if the so called justice system fails. We cant stand nor lay down for this madness. Something has to give. Enough is enough. BUT...as hard as it is to face, I guess we have to be honest with ourselves...there arent many if any instances of super proper, preppy Black children or FOI or other Brothers in suits getting killed by cops or fake cops. SMH The truth is hard to swallow. Is the universe trying to tell us something about our conduct and uncivilized lifestyles? I know some people who would say emphatically YES! AND that its because were being rebellious in not separating from them. Sheesh. This family aint about to do no separating, though, lol. I highly doubt it, but I guess you never know. This is a pretty extreme method of whipping us into shape. Hard lesson to learn. #Seperate
