Oh my goodness! Didnt we have a time in Community Meal today?! I was blessed with seeing someone who hadnt been around for more than a year....she came today and informed me that she had been away at rehab. I hardly recognized her! She walked over to me, mouthing Reverend Ingram.....and as we hugged and I just marveled at her presence with us, she whispered in my ear: Reverend, I have 13 months clean, and I have junk in my trunk lol I said, yes you DO! At least it is clean junk and healthy junk! ...and then the proverbs lesson. That was wonderful also, the proverb was: Proverbs 25:16: “If you find honey, eat just enough – too much of it, and you will be sick”. Basically, Dont be greedy. Don’t take more than you need. -- and then I opened it up for others to chime in on how they felt about it: a few things were said: -Be careful with your appetite -God always provides just enough of what we need and one that kinda blew me away: honey is used for medicinal purposes...and like other natural herbal remedies, if you eat too much of it, it will make you sick. - someone bought up the loaves and fishes, and I said: yeah, they didnt bum-rush that little boy...so dont bum-rush our tables....and we laughed. And I saw another woman who when she saw me, immediately wanted Bryan Penman to know that she has since been saved. And to tell him: Didnt I tell you God had a place for you?.... She loves herself some Bryan! I got to see a former member of St. Michaels who hasnt been around for years...and that encounter pinched my heartstrings in a good way. Nice to see her face...and to get a hug. Not to mention all the hugs and greetings from our regular guests. And to top it off, one of the guests decided he was gonna play with me today, teasing and pinching my cheeks and talking bout how he was gonna serenade me at my 60th birthday party (of course the community meal will be invited to celebrate with me)...how he was gonna be singing begging songs. He tickled me so, and made me laugh in a way I havent laughed in YEARS!!!! He is our singer....when he comes in, I give him a look and he knows I want him to sing, and he always obliges me, the room gets quiet...and he does his thing. I cant wait for him to sing just for me, at my 60th. I think I can handle whatever beggin songs hes got.... It was a great morning
