Oh my... my.... my....... That somehow social media were an effective change agent capable of rising above the reality of mass media propaganda.... Its not... its increasingly becoming yet another tool in the quiver of the PR/advertising engine that is the uniquely american art form of behavioral control... That somehow social media could provide the consolidation of democratic opinion and rational discussion of the framework of a republic to stop the incredible expendatures and required debt and taxes to support them of a government self consumed in control, self service, self preservation through violent actions. its not... It simply provides more energy to the pointless fringe debates that serve no end except to divide us and obfescate the realty in the middle. That somehow social media could connect people with diverse life experiences, perspectives, skills and resources into groups that could really make a difference. Its not... It is increasingly coming to nucleate in self similar if not self absorbed groups that comfort each other in a strange conformity of non-conformity. oh my.... my..... my........
