Oh my stars. I can never thank everyone enough for the shower of love and the sold out house tonight at The Gardenia. You know, my heart is so filled with gratitude for those who contributed to every stop along the way, including Steve Rawlins for my stunning arrangements, David Fortin for beautiful trumpet and bass work, Al Timss for being my Conductor on board this love train, Bryan R. (I have to look up how to spell your last name again, I apologize), and to Ron Snyder whose tender and heartfelt improvisational work on In A Sentimental Mood so moved my dear heart Michael into saying that he had heard Ellingtons rendition in person several times, and that tonights work far exceeded Ellington himself. High praise from the former jazz man himself. Your outpouring of love far outshone my gold sequined gown. Special thanks to Jody Jaress who helped this girl in and out of that gown and then some, and to Nichole Rice for her splendid tending to my audience. Man, that was a great train ride and I am so glad that all of you were there to travel the Sentimental Journey with me. Much love.....now, time to crack that bottle of Schramsberg and smell the roses. Oh, yes, thank you Michael for the dozens of long stems....and yes, Ill wear that gown again..............just for you. xoxoxoxox See you guys on the other side of tomorrow.
