Oh news this good deserves a new thread! :-) Whos ready to do a happy dance with me?!! Junos biopsy results are in, and my miracle dog has pulled off yet another miracle!! The necrotic lobe of her liver was an isolated incident, caused by either a clot or torsion. NO infection!! Yay!! And the rest of her liver.......drum roll please......MILD hepatitis! This is freakin amazing!!!! Seriously! Only 6 short weeks ago her biopsies showed severe chronic active hepatitis with only 20% liver function. I was told to bring her home and just enjoy what time she had left, which was maybe up to 8 weeks. Not only that, but on 3 separate occasions over these past 6 weeks she was within hours of dying. Without a doubt I credit her dedicated and talented vets for their skill in saving her life, particularly at the VEC. But I also credit in no small part all of you for holding positive intentions and energies and sending her love and healing. And lets not forget her own warrior princess spirit! Now this aint over, I know that. Her disease has been lifelong and will continue to be. Im told that until she survives a year, it cant be said definitively that her liver has fully regenerated. Her prognosis is guarded. But her treatments are working and she is on her way!! I couldnt be happier! Well, I wish they hadnt shaved off quite so much of her beautiful coat but thats a small price to pay for having my little furgirl. :-)
