Oh-so-lucky Reds! Centre back Daisuke Nasu gave Urawa Reds a very late 2-2 draw against battling Vissel Kobe and saw their top spot in J1 usurped by Sagan Tosu, who pulled off yet another narrow victory, this time on a late goal from Kei Ikeda. Vissel were ahead after goals from Hiroyuki Komoto and ex-Reds right back Shunki Takahashi before they grabbed that lucky point! A couple of shock results just below the top two as Kashiwa Reysol completely shellacked Kawasaki Frontale 4-1 and Kashima Antlers went one better with a 5-1 destruction of reigning champions Sanfrecce Hiroshima. Moving down the table, the divisions in-form teams continued winning streaks. FC Tokyo are now in 5th spot after their 4-0 win over new-manager-wielding Shimizu S-Pulse, while Gamba Osaka have jumped to 6th now after their well-deserved 2-0 home win over Yokohama F•Marinos. Patric and Yasuhito Endo were on target for the rising blue and black team from Osaka. Meanwhile, in the pink half of Osaka, Cerezo went down to another defeat, Sho Naruoka scoring the single goal of the game to give Albirex Niigata the tree points. Staying at the bottom to round out the results Tokushima Vortis and Ventforet Kofu earned a point apiece in a 2-2 draw on a waterlogged pitch - critics saying that the game should never have been played, while Omiya Ardija earned a point away at Vegalta Sendai on the same scoreline.
