Oh such a precious Memory I must share! Many years ago I worked at a small Nursing Home one afternoon as I passed the dining room, I heard this song. I looked in, what a toughing yet sad scene. There swaying to the music was a lovely lady dancing with an invisible partner. The following week, one afternoon, I went to her room, so sweet setting looking out the window.....I approached held out my hand and said lovely lady, dance with me (Hey I was young but i did know how to read! and I found a book about chivalry in the 1880s ) She look my hand and then my arm. In the dining room I had moved all the tables against the walls. I sat her in a chair, and as this song started I took a knee and said my lady, my heart cries dance with me! She was so shy, her cheeks red, she took my hand then into my arms. We danced we swayed, at times she would hold me close her head on my shoulder but most times we swayed in the classic waltz style. I had to be careful she was 88 and had a heart condition. Each week, we danced What a JOY she was! I dont know who enjoyed our dances more her or I. I was on duty the evening the music stopped. She was so weak, she looked up whispered thank you With my voice cracking I said My lady you have stolen my heart, I will never dance again She smiled......... As you listen to this song, think of Sara, she is dancing again in the clouds. Reach out and touch someone and dance ~Pastor Don Champion~
