Oh the reality of being a parent, the most difficult and rewarding duty one can be blessed with (in my humble opionion). I can say without hesitation, I am sure I fall short in many areas and there is always room for improvement. But, I promise my girls a hundred times a day that Ill always be the best I can be. I will teach them compassion and love.I will teach by actions not by hypocritical words. I will never stop being their parent before any other type of relationship. God didnt give me a buddy when He gave them to me, He gave me human life to be responsible for. I have lessons to teach them and they have lessons to teach me. They will no doubt hate me at times, Im ok with that, if it leads to them to being mentally, emotionally & physically healthier. I will support them by every means available, if it is BEST for them. I will love them unconditionally. I will never be jealous or ashamed of their achievements or dreams. I will always be proud of the good things they create or welcome. They will never know any form of negativity from me if they are healthy, happy & whole. I hope I am successful in teaching them the difference between the true and the untrue when it comes to the important things. I hope they grow with a solid voice & foundation. I pray every night for their roots to be strong and unbreakable. I am and will always be their fiercest defender. I cannot shield them from life but I can provide them the tools to live thru their journey & pray they learn to accept and use them. These are my thoughts and dreams as I watch them, every moment. I have been given the most beautiful and extraordinary love. I take this gift to heart. It is simply amazing. #thankful
