Oh, yay, Im on! Thanks Amy! And as much as I dislike FB, how nice to be away from the infamous, unworkable yahoo NEO!! OK, I have a 5 year old bun who apparently has a liver infection. Any thoughts on that? (like how do you get one, are they slow to clear up??) She previously was very healthy then got headtilt. After a few months on that, with fenbendazole, bicillin, baytril, she recovered completely. Although I will say there were some changes in her behavior... maybe it affected her brain? Anyhow, the latest is she is eating little, pooping little. Otherwise looks ok and hops around. Just... so little eating going on. Treated her with reglan and Baytril for a week and then brought her to the vet. Did an xray which showed food in the stomach but nothing in intestines, some gas. Bloodwork vet said showed infection, although according to my thermometer, there never was a fever. He insists his thermometer is correct (although I have purchaed two others): 103.5. Mine says 102.4. She is on Baytril and bicillin. It has been a week on bicillin and 2 weeks on Baytril and I dont see improvement. I have added in .1 milkthistle and .1 dandelion tincture, and sometimes give metacam. Just dont see any great result of anything. Here are the bloodwork values that are off: ALP (h) RESULTS 140, REFERENCE RANGE 12-96 alt 29 (l) norm. 48-70 ast 15 (L) norm 33-99 creatine kinase 717 (H) norm 140-372 ggt: 6 (L) NORM 50-140 ALBUMIN 3.8 (H) NORM 2.7-3.6 TOTAL BILIRUBIN .1 (l) NORM .1-.8 BUN 12 (l) NORM 17-24 CHOLESTEROL 17 (l) NORM 24-65 PHOSPHORUS 3 (L) NORM 4-6.2 --- WBC: 3.2 (l) NORM 5-12% MONOCYTE 9.0 (h) NORM 0-2 What is creatine kinase, which seems really, really off?! Should mention that possums and occasionally raccoons come through the yard, not that I let her out much any more (she she doesnt go far anymore unlike her old self). Am open to suggestion... Thank you!! Carla
