Ohio State’s STEM Initiatives is a university-wide resource - TopicsExpress

Ohio State’s STEM Initiatives is a university-wide resource connecting science, technology, engineering, and mathematics-based faculty, programs and departments with resources and support. Chris Andersen, STEM Initiatives director and his team connect university STEM practitioners with resources for funding opportunities and outreach collaborations; support recruitment and retention of a diverse student population; and help to improve STEM undergraduate education. Of particular importance is helping junior faculty secure NSF Faculty Early Career Development grants. STEM Initiatives offers workshops and panel discussions to help faculty write winning NSF CAREER proposals and access resources to develop their proposals. Andersen’s participation and work with NSF panels provides faculty with invaluable insight into the proposal process and ensures that faculty maximize their chance for a successful outcome.
