Oil refineries and My problem with Nigerians: Some time ago, I - TopicsExpress

Oil refineries and My problem with Nigerians: Some time ago, I went to a page of Diezani, petroleum minister, and asked why they were unable to invite these boys that create illegal refineries and use their local technologies for some small scale refining? The increase news about their arrest didnt make much sense to me because they kept going back to it. My point was that without sophisticated technology, Nigeria was able to still refine petroleum products. At least, the boys on the creeks were doing it. And in their usual pattern, they refused to respond. It now seemed I was an advocate for illegal refining. But no! Like it or not, we needed to invite small engineers and get them to start refining locally and we grow from there. We are too lazy and we dont seem to take counsels. Maybe we are not popular enough to advice them. I have news hint that they are buying into the modular refineries concept. My question is why now? When people would think it just an electioneering move. Have you any idea of the number of jobs that would have created? How much would it have cost us? But we were able to settle militants. Im watching to see what comes out of it. I dont do blind support of anyone. If you must rule well, learn to listen to people. Sometimes, these people just bore me. By Steward Godwin Jornsen
