Ok -- here they are -- the pics you have been waiting for. I was asked by the professionals not to take pics in the church, so we will wait for the pros to provide those. Most of these are at the reception, which was a heck of a lot of fun. The reason was the community of families that come together, both created by and supportive of, this remarkable young couple. When those of us over 50 speak ill of this generation, I hope you will keep this young couple in mind, both dedicated to service, and both in uniform. Cassady is a nurse and will dedicate her life to helping others as an RN, soon to specialize in caring for severely handicapped children. You will see a picture of her dancing with one of her patients. John Morgan has chosen to go into the USAF and will soon enter training to be a Combat Systems Officer. I do not believe this millennial generation is the worst ever -- I think they will be the greatest. My belief in this is reinforced by the union of these two great people and meeting the people who support them. Marriage is a bond that reflects a community of values. This reception was a reflection of what makes us great as a nation, and this is not a random sample. People like those in the pictures traveled from all over the nation simply to witness two people beginning a life together. It is that shared value of hope for the future that propels the numbers of teachers, nurses, businessmen, students, dreamers, inventors, soldiers and airmen in the audience. I am proud to see the community created by, for, and through these two dynamic and giving young people. We should all do what we can with them to make their lives together meaningful and fulfilling.
