Ok - more of an update on Tim - they will be putting a rod in his upper left arm on Saturday to stabilize the break there. He will have to have some reconstructive surgery on that arm due to it being on the side of the cab that hit the ground. He was taken into surgery to remove quite a bit of glass from that arm and stabilize it Wednesday evening. His ribs on the left side are all fractured, some in multiple places. Yesterday, chest tubes were inserted on both sides to drain fluid and to help the collapsed lung expand. He has blood in both lungs and will be on a respirator for some more days. He is being sedated to prevent him from fighting the respirator, stomach tubes and to help him rest. After the chest tubes were inserted, he seemed to rest better. The biggest concern is pneumonia - if he can keep from getting it, his chances are really good. Recovery will take 4 to 6 months. The owner of the company told the family that he had never seen anyone survive a roll-over of a fully loaded truck. Together, we have been told the truck and load weighed somewhere in the range of 62,000 pounds. Please keep Christy and her family in your prayers, especially Tims 3 kids.
