Ok - the mental health question.... If one in five people in Australia suffer from a mental health condition in their lifetime why are these conditions so stigmastised and so vilified and despised, feared and misunderstood in our community when most of the time they are just caused by the compounding of simple social problems which are easy to fix and could happen to anyone in their normal life and usually do!..why cant we change our ways and allow people to have moved on from having a mental illness, we seem so ready to exclude them doubt them and ostracise them when they could be the next prime minister or scientist we need to cure cancer or save the world.. etc .?!! Some of the most brilliant and intelligent people (myself included) have suffered with an illness but still been subject to constant discrimination and stigma even though they have contributed so much to the world... and so....how do we tackle stigma and change our worldview about mental health conditions in a short time???? Is there a formula which could do this?? and what is it??? (I personally think that guy in the video, and his entire attitude about addressing craziness is spot on !!... at least women are not less valued because they suffer from craziness from time to time!!)
