Ok-Another possible attack on our beaches could be in the planning stages. Although VCOG was disbanded (fractured?). The first round table of mayors, CC and others met yesterday for the first time. The lead topic identified by the NJ was BEACH DRIVING followed by water quality. Members of the this new committee will form sub-committees to study and bring back ideas to the full committee. The chair is Ed Kelly from Ormond Beach and Mr. Daniels of the CC. We all know Daniels by reputation or have seen him in action at CC meetings. The meetings will be held the 2nd Monday of each month at the DBIAP. Its another front that will need our attention every 2nd Monday of the month. It also makes our goal of 16,500+- signatures more urgent. If everyone that has signed a petition would get one more signed, we would exceed our objective. It could be that easy, etc.. but we cannot wait for simplicity to happen. If you belong to any club from Rotary, Mustang, Elks, Gyms take some petitions. Take them to neighborhood card games, cooking classes, exercise classes, etc.. If you run in 5Ks, etc., how long do you stand around before the race. Get a few signatures. The signatures are there for the asking. I gave 10 to a dune buggy club member after she and a friend signed theirs. The person cutting my hair is getting signatures. Ask and they will sign. LVV
