Ok, Australia is now ranked 44th in the world for internet speed. But for uploading 150th! This information would have a probability bias because the hotspots of the population centres of Melbourne and Sydney, account for a large percentage of the populace. Having just spent nearly 2 years working in the Pilbara where to actually get internet at all you need both a favourable alignment of planets and the sun to be experiencing a Maunder Minimum moment, let me assure you the reality is far worse. Congratulations Australia! Youre still using smoke signals and jungle drums while the 3rd world has morse code and the electronic telephone and everybody else (including Thailand where Im writing this from) has functional broadband and free wifi everywhere that doesnt drop out the moment you press send! But its true Tony, we do need to spend billions of dollars on untested fighter planes from our friends the US! New Zealand or the Pitcairn Islands could invade us any day now!
