Ok Boarders...the temps are going to hover around freezing for the next few days - getting down toward the single digits tonight. Water consumption is critical for avoiding colic ;) Now might be the time to add some salt to your feed or bring some warm water for your buckets in the evening to encourage drinking (the water will be shut off and hoses drained after feeding time). Team work makes the world go round so if you happen into the barn tomorrow to bring warm water (I know we will be)- put eyes on all horses that are in and make sure there is no ice on any water buckets please.
