Ok, Bryan Thao Worra, here is my book list. I decided to base this off of the top books I keep coming back to every year or two, and will list a reason why. 1. Stranger in a Strange Land by Robert Heinlein is quite possibly my favorite book of all time. 2. Dandelion Wine by Ray Bradbury is the epitome of summer. It should go without saying that I did NOT read it this year. 3. Timothy Zahns Star Wars trilogy. Grand Admiral Thrawn and Mara Jade will always be a part of my EU, regardless of what Disney says. 4a. American Gods by Neil Gaiman rewards me with new folklore every time I read it. (4b. is Seasons of Mist for the sheer ingenuity of the Devil giving up hell.) 5. Stephen Kings Dark Tower series, but if I have to pick one, its the third entry, The Waste Lands. That cliffhanger ending! 6. Watchmen is quite simply the greatest graphic novel of all time, and I would put it at or near the top of the best literary works of the 20th century. 7. David Macks Kabuki series, especially Circle of Dreams is the rare treat that seems to evolve and mature as I go through different stages of life. 8. Mere Christianity by C.S. Lewis, while rooted in pre-feminist England and less pluralistic than my spiritual views, is still an excellent statement of faith. 9. Slaughterhouse Five by Kurt Vonnetgut, is a masterpiece, but the chapter on the war film in reverse blows my mind every time. 10. Love Monkey by Kyle Smith is a great read whenever I need to be reminded of why immature man-boys who grew up in the 80s have trouble making relationships work. (So I read that one a lot.)
