Ok. Coming to the mainstream to list my favorite 10 books that come to mind (in no particular order of preference). Honored to be nominated by Floyd Walden. Apart from the Bible, which is Gods word, honored above all and my light and my lamp, here goes : 1. To Kill A Mockingbird - Harper Lee. (the kind of writing I adore a lot) 2. The Mysterious Island - Jules Verne (the original, unabridged version made my childhood and shaped my adventurous bent of mind, that was already given birth by Enid Blyton and Mark Twains writings) 3. The Pilgrims Progress - John Bunyan (imagination with the Christian perspective) 4. The Lord of the Rings Trilogy - J.R. R. Tolkien (fueled and catapulted my imagination) 5. Pride and Prejudice - Jane Austen (introduced me to character formation and romance) 6. In His Steps - Charles Sheldon ( taught me to ask the question What would Jesus do?) 7. Truth Endures - John MacArthur (a collection of sermons that revolutionized the way I study the Bible) 8. The Alchemist - Paulo Coelho (brought out a better poetic version of Recho) 9. Chik and his Friends - Fazil Iskander (the Abkhazian life from a childhood perspective, partly mirrored my exciting childhood and is a prized book memory) 10. The Complete Adventures of Sherlock Holmes - Arthur Conan Doyle (inspired intelligence, brilliance and creativity) So ten remarkable books that helped build The Powerful Quiller. ;) I nominate Alisha Aman, Pratiksha Bhattacharjee, Utsav Jaiswal, Supratim Narzary, Shreya Chetia, Benjamin Neville Goldsmith, to do the same!
