Ok. Here we go. A total f*****g mess it is !! Just landed Abuja airport. Those of you whove been there no what the airport car park is like ?? Think the mess at Arik local at MMA then multiply it by 8 ???? Well, today you can x that by 16 ! You know why ? A petrol tanker driver in his wisdom chose to pass through it. ? Now some pea brained driver has parked his jeep AAA-608AQ on the corner (illegally) and has fd off (probably to Yenagoa or Yankari). Of course the articulated tanker cannot pass through and guess what ? All the jackasses are flailing their arms (including and especially the uniformed ones) and mouthing all sorts of rubbish, theories and inanities. So all 2000 + cars with passengers pouring out of various Local and International flights of varying flight hours (including luggage waiting hours) are all in the car park looking for this idiot who has blocked our exit. Yours truly snaps a pic of the number plates and proceeds to Information Desk inside the terminal. Of course you now have to pass through scruty and a scanning machine just to get back into the terminal.............20 mins later Im trying to explain to the lady sleeping at the Info desk (making me think she must be the one with that horrible high pitched voice that announces those arrival/interminable delays). Please can you announce the car number that has blocked the exit for the past 1 and 1/2 hours.... My voice is getting high pitched like hers at this point as she just stares at me and mumbles something about having done so already ! Im thinking now, that, if it was to tell us about late arrival of our departing flight you would be announcing it with more gusto so everyone as far as the Tarmac will hear o !!! Dejectedly I leave her to her rambling to face my fate of having to wait till return of our mugu at God knows what time, only to see Nigerian ingenuity at work !! Somehow a gang has organized our exit by rearranging cars to go out from the direction they came (please dont ask me exactly how) All I know is I jump eagerly into my car to join the people in the Nigerian Self Help as usual project. Not a Policeman, Airforce, Soldier, FAAN, NCAA or any other Gaddem Agency in sight ?? Nigeria We Hail Thee
