Ok, I Admit It - Slimming Clubs Work! If youve been watching this page recently Youll have witnessed a heated debate Between REBELFIT (anti-slimming clubs) And DIETERS (pro-slimming clubs). The argument from the dieters is always the same. Ive lost 30lbs in 3 months on SW! says one. Ive lost 6 stone since January on WW! says another. How can I argue against that? How can I do anything other than concede... Slimming Clubs WORK! I dont doubt these claims. In fact, I have a wealth of research... In the form of my clients weight trackers... Proving that slimming clubs do help you lose weight. They really do WORK. And lets face it... If they didnt WORK... They wouldnt have millions of people... Cueing up to get weighed every week. If they didnt WORK... They wouldnt be the huge... Multi-million pound, 45 year old businesses... That they are today. So once again, I admit it. Slimming Clubs WORK. ______________ But LIKE F**K if you thought I was going to stop there. You see people... I have spent most of my career WEIGHING PEOPLE. I have trained 100s of SW / WW / Lighterlife members... Ive even trained a team of SW consultants... Tracking their weight and body composition... Over many weeks, months and years. Thats what I do. I WEIGH PEOPLE. But I dont just weigh them... And give them a round of applause if theyve LOST... Or console them if theyve GAINED. I track their weight. Ive observed 100s of WW / SW / Ligthterlife members... Lose weight while theyre on the diet... Some even seeing weight losses of 7 or 8 stone. (Ive trained two slimmers of the year, both in magazines Seeing me for exercise, while theyve been dieting) So Ive witnessed first hand how these diets WORK. But equally Ive witnessed something else. Something that lies behind my rants... And the poppycockish anger you see on this page. That something else? THE F**KING REBOUND. Dieters... members of SW / WW / Lighterlife... Might lose the weight and keep it off for a while... Sometimes a few months... Sometimes a year... Sometimes five years... Which is enough to convince them... ITS WORKING FOR ME!! But the truth? All the time theyre in that caloric deficit... All the time theyre starving their body... Living on a low-calorie, low-fat, bullshit diet... Something is brewing. Something that millions of dieters have been through... THE F**KING REBOUND. It starts with increased CRAVINGS. Everything was going so well on this diet... Theyre telling their friends... Theyre sharing testimonials... Theyre even getting photographed... For SLIMMER OF THE YEAR! Some of them... would you believe... Are even coming on the Rebelfit fan page... And telling us how well theyre getting on. But somehow... behind the scenes... Their cravings are getting BIGGER. Their drive to eat is getting STRONGER. Their willpower is getting WEAKER. Then BAM!! The mother f**ker of all binges. And so THE F**KING REBOUND begins. One binge... starting a cycle of guilt... More binges... more guilt... And rebound weight gain. Ive spent my career watching people go through this. From the JUDGE I trained... Who couldnt stop eating low-calorie biscuits. To the PSYCHOLOGIST I trained... Who couldnt explain why she craved bread... Smashing down half a loaf... Every time she got in from work. No one is immune to THE F**KING REBOUND. Surgeons. Doctors. Nurses. They come to ME... to help them lose weight... Because even with their medical background... They cant understand why they are BINGING. ________________ For some people THE F**KING REBOUND happens... After only a few months of dieting. For others it occurs within 3 to 5 years. And I have 100s of weight trackers to prove it. Ive sat with these people... Ive been a shoulder to cry on for these people... Ive watched these people LOSE CONTROL... Lose their self-esteem... become depressed... Because they cannot stop BINGEING. Ive trained Slimming World consultants... Who have called me up in desperation... Because theyre leading a group of dieters... While their own weight is FLYING UP. While their own eating habits are OUT OF CONTROL. And the cause of this loss of control? The cause of this inevitable binge eating? The. Great. British. Low-Fat. Low-Calorie. Diet. You see... Your body doesnt have a clue that youre dieting. It thinks you are STARVING. For the simple reason... You are f**king starving. So it responds by increasing your food cravings... And worse than that... Increasing FOOD PALATABILITY. When youre in a sustained caloric deficit... on a diet... That one mouthful of something sugary sweet... Triggers BINGE EATING BEHAVIOUR. That one WW biscuit that you thought was healthy... Sets of a part of your brain (the limbic system)... That drives UNCONTROLLABLE EATING. Psychologists call this Binge Eating Disorder... But it isnt a disorder. It is F**KING SURVIVAL!! It is an ancient adaptation... Designed to help us survive... In a nutrient scarce environment. Binging. Saves. Lives. In. Famines. It is our bodys way of saying... Im starving! I need fuel! Eat and Ill REWARD you! That one WW biscuit you planned in as a snack... Tastes so f**king good... You NAIL the WHOLE PACKET. But its your fault... Its your lack of willpower... Nothing to do with the fact you been STARVING... Depriving your body of nutrition... For the last however many months or years. Nope. Its your f**king fault. Or so the slimming companies would have you believe. ___________________ So to all those Slimming World members... Who have come to this page... Sharing their wonderful stories of success... Slimming Clubs Work. But they work TEMPORARILY. Thats why we call them QUICK FIX DIETS. The results last 5 years at the absolute most... Before that uncontrollable binge eating kicks in. Which either you control with disordered eating... Which might be starving yourself... Excessive exercise... Or even bullmia. Or... Your willpower dries up... And you regain the weight AND MORE. So for the few people... Who are inevitably going to comment below saying... But Ive kept the weight off for 10 years now! You know. I know. The TRUTH about how you keep it off. And it aint pretty. Lets stop the diets... the binging and the obesity epidemic. Lets REBEL against the slimming clubs...
