Ok I called Wilton to discuss how I was treated and my supervisors supervisor got on the line and proceeded to tell me she was sorry to hear about my sons health issues but tracking is important and needs to get done and it really doesnt take that long to do.!?#?!#%! I felt like a broken record explaining had I offered classes got hit by a car and put in a coma and didnt track my classes what would they do? And she answered...Then why wouldnt they do that when they hadnt heard from me? She repeated saying what they would do but that I wasnt in a coma and it really didnt take long to make a quick call if. I couldnt get my tracking done. Again repeating my son was hospitalized and Wilton was NOWHERE. On my brain. I ended up asking for the # to HR as I want it documented how Ive been treated and talked to and that I wanted to talk to someone who could tell me if I am working for a company that puts its tracking above the priority of someones health or if I just happened to be under the two women who feel that way. She assured me she didnt feel it was more important than our health but that it needs to be done and is part of. My job in agreeing to be a Wilton instructor etc etc. for one of the few times in my life I feel speechless because there are no words that can express how blown away I am that ANYONE can follow up the statement my son has a heart condition with but it only takes a few seconds to call and let us know your tracking information! I love my job but I just dont know what Im going to do right now. I dont want to punish myself leaving a job I love, michaels, a store I truly enjoy working at, and my students (which they can all learn privately in my home if necessary) because individuals feel I should have made sure Wilton tracking was on my list of concerns while dealing with our sons health issues...I will talk to HR and see if they put me under a different supervisor before making my final decision. Jeff says I should quit. We dont need the job. I do it because I enjoy it...but I DO enjoy it. Sigh. I dont want to send the message what they said or expect is acceptable.
