Ok I couldnt hold it in any longer. I am humbly...and I mean HUMBLY announcing how Allah places people in your life for a REASON. I met Connie last year in the Cohort1 class thru C.A.F.E. Ironically we were not placed together as accountability partners and rarely even talked to each other during the first class. But soon after we linked up thru several meetings and networking events put together by Tara and Nicole. As it was written to be, we became our own accountability partners, meeting, talking, discussing, putting together plans only to have our plans go in a different direction (temporarily). Through our professional relationship we couldnt help but to establish a friendship. However, I know our friendship will not keep us from achieving our goals or hinder our professional relationship. So much so that she saw my need to step out on my own FINALLY. I came to her a few weeks ago as my position as a Site Director of the After School program with Childrens Variety was in jeopardy of being either phased out in hours, pay, or completely for the coming 2014-2015 school year. I was trying not to worry but my name is Maketa and unfortunately I do worry when I shouldnt. Okay okay so I am long winded...all of this is to announce that I will be sub-leasing the office space of CKG/R.E.S.P.E.C.T. Alliance to do what CCECGLLC (facebook/CreativeConnectionsEdGrp.LLC) wanted to do for years: PLAY THERAPY FOR CHILDREN WITH SPECIAL NEEDS ages 4-8 and THERAPEUTIC GROUP SESSIONS for children ages 9-15. I am asking for dua (prayers) for success, first and foremost and of course referrals. I will be bringing on my BFF of 20 yrs in a few weeks as she has her LSW and we will be able to accept medical insurance. Currently I am only able to accept cash payments.
