Ok, I debated as to whether I should tell you this story but it is too good to keep to myself. So... you know I am working as Santa Claus in New York. I have hundreds of people and children visit me each day. If you know me, you know I am a story teller. Boy I have fun with these little people. The little guys and girls come up, I give them a candy cane. I tell them the Elves made this candy cane up at the north pole and put a special wish in it just for them. I say, where have you been, Ive been waiting for you. They look so surprised. lol I tell them the elves told me to give the candy cane to them, and if it gets broke they have two wishes. I ask them if they want to sit on my lap and take a picture. Most say yes. And just before the techno elf takes their picture, I tell them, Guess what? Youre on the nice list. They get a big smile and blame… the Techno Elf takes their picture. Then I say, so… what do you want for Christmas? youve been real good. Then they proceed to give me their wish list. Ok, here it is, I had this little guy who was about 6 or 7… kind of over weight and had his pants pulled up too high. You know the look. Anyway he really made me smile and warmed my heart. I asked what he wanted and he said real fast and excited and with a lisp... I want, high thschool musical, 1, 2, and 3, and all the videos of Glee. I smiled and said, anything else? He jumped up and down and said very proudly. I want a pink Barbie. And he dance away. lol He was my favorite kid ever. That answered a lot of questions for me. He was as natural and free as a person could be. I salute you little guy. Thank you for being yourself. And while I am on the subject. I see a lot of trouble conversations on FB. About how bad things are, and all the troubles in the world. There have always been these kind of things. We just didnt know so much about whats going on. But look at you.. you survived and did alright. Let it go. Stop keeping and holding on to all the bad stuff and let it go. Make room for and hold on to the good stuff. Think about it and hold a special place for it. Remember the two wolves who are Anger and bad, and one Happy and good… the one that survives is the one you feed. I have had so many young children sit on my lap, and baby after baby after baby. More than I ever had before. 9 out of 10 sit with me, they dont cry, I talk softly and gently to them and they turn their little heads, look at me, and listen. I look in their sweet pure eyes and tell them to be good, do good things with your life, the world is yours now, Welcome to Earth, and its up to you now to bring peace to us all, it is your turn and your world now. I tell them to be happy, have lots of fun, joy and love and a good life. I then I tell them to say hi to the Angles for me. Most of them smile. I dont know, I know they hear me. I feel somewhere inside, they know what I am saying. It might make a difference somewhere, sometime. Its cant hurt right? I love my job. Hope, Love, Peace and Joy. IMHO: We are not coming to the end of time. The world is not ending. There is hope and these little guys are going to make a big difference. I believe it. Each smile gives me hope for man (and woman) kind and our future. There will be peace on Earth and Goodwill towards all man woman kind. Happy Holidays and Seasons Greeting.
