Ok I got a phone call tonight from someone who is moving to WV and cant take their eskie who is 14. She is taking her doberman. The eskie has never lived in the house because he is a male and she only allows females in her home. He is neutered, but not housebroken since he has never lived inside. She just took him yesterday and have all his coat shaved off. You have no clue how hard it was for me to bite my tongue. You have a dog for 14 years and then you just get rid of it because you like the dobe better and you only want to take one dog to wv with you when you move? I only remained nice because it is not the dogs fault and if she takes him to the shelter they will euthanize him as who is going to want to adopt a 14 year old dog? The dog is probably older than 14 she found him as a stray in 1999. She laughed and said I dont think this one will ever die. She was hoping he would so she could then only have her big dogs with she likes. She does not like small dogs. Her daughter is the one who suggest she contact a rescue group. A local group here gave her my number. I am having a very difficult time with this one!!! There is so much I want to say but it wont make any difference at all.
