Ok I have been remiss in posting. Computer was down and me and the phone dont get along that well to be posting from the phone. Computer is fixed Yea!!!1 But it cost me!!!!! Ouch!!!! Still working on the rip N tear project. North wall proved to be a challenge. I hauled away all the wood chips and vermiculite. about 40 Cu. Ft of it. Not much really when you figure what should be in them thar walls. So just what does one do with 40 CF of wood chips. Put it the garden of course!!!! Ran into a bunch of dry rot on the north side. Inspected the basement floor joists and found more dry rot then I would have liked. Wall is open so the opportunity is there so I replace/added to the floor joists that were there. Only three got away without an added joist. Ohhhh What Fun it was removing vents, pulling wires and lights out, and removing any thing else that was in the way. Oh yeah and putting it all back. Of course they couldnt just build and put the joist on top of the rim joist, NOOOOOOO they had to notch them down to 6.5 inches or so. Never like compromising the integrity of a board, but had no choice in the matter. Notch the joist, run it in from the open side and start the jacking process to make it stand up like it grew there. That is all complete so I have moved on to Playing HVAC Tech and rerouting the exhausts and fresh air for the furnace and hot water heater. Had ten different Utility things sticking out of the north side. So trying to combine and cut down on the total number of STUFF sticking out of the wall. Played electrician today and put in a 2 LB to combine two different LBs/Wires into one. Fun digging in the clay, found two telephone cables, gas line, abandon 11/2 sump pump lines. Of course as soon as I had the holes dug it rained like cow doing its thing on a flat rock. Now I am slipping and a sliding ( not in a good way mind you) in the greasy clay mud. What did I achieve today you say, well installed the new LB for the electrical, wires will have to wait until it is a might dryer out there. Hard Piped in the fresh air intake for the hot water heater, cleaned up some electrical wires from the joist project, added a new light fixture, Saturday I Rerouted the fresh air and exhaust for the furnace and the exhaust for the hot water heater and went to a birthday/ engagement party. One of the boys is tying the Knot again!!! Soon I hope to be framing in the slider and new windows for her sewing room. Having way Much fun here will keep you posted with more updates when I can
