Ok, I have so much to say about this mare which may bore you to - TopicsExpress

Ok, I have so much to say about this mare which may bore you to pieces, BUT she has so much talent and has been trained incorrectly as illustrated in prior videos...we ride from the hock which lifts the back, which allows for balance for a natural headset that is found and comfortable by the horse. To use martingales, draw reins, or severe bits to capture and set their heads causes shortened or choppy strides along with an unhappy horse that stops rocking back on their hock and leaks out behind...it is physics and being a horseman or woman, as the case applies. In this video, Sasha was taken out of her stall, without any longing, and then warmed up by Julie for 15 minutes when they started taking the video. You will see that Sasha has her head down too low, bounces up, levels out, and then is seeking her own neck level while Julie does not try to reprimand her for doing so since her legs, going forward, and sitting back on that hock is more critical right now than setting her head and neck. They are all coming together, but Sasha is not there as you may readily observe. Sasha is not a horse that needs longing if you ride her daily or turn her out. If she is not worked or turned out, Julie feels that she may need to be longed which makes sense to me regarding any horse. Sasha is wearing a short shank, sweet iron mouth snaffle from Mahu in the video...Julie only has ridden her in snaffles. Sasha also accepts spurs now. To me, having had Lucky Asset, Ok Im Zipped, Show Us The Money, A Good Revelation, Blazing Impulsion, Blazing Tribulation, and Gorgeous Award who all had thousands of points combined along with being nationally known All-around horses...Sasha is most like Gorgeous Award who was 10th in the Western Riding at the World. She will be able to do nearly every class, including the Western Pleasure, in some parts of the country, but not at Congress. Sasha is stunning in person while she is a working soldier and focuses on the rider...she does not pin her ears, but she does listen to the rider as you can see in the video. I wanted to verify from Julie that Sasha was a happy camper from where she was when she arrived at Julies. Julie stated that she is not cranky and never swats her tail. Sasha wants to please and love someone back, according to Julie. If you get into her, she will become nervous and if she made a mistake when she first arrived, she would panic which made me very sad. Sasha has trusted Julie and truly needs a person who will love and work with her to build the bond that is necessary to win in the All-around or any class. Julie told me that she does not have a motor but has energy and isnt a quitter by any means. Sasha is a perfect youth or Ammy horse and is a bargain who should also excel in patterns. Sasha has also shown great form over trail log trot-overs and does not want to touch them. Julie is going to follow this indoor video taken yesterday in the cold with another one outside when it warms up...Julie will show many transitions to show that Sasha is ok with them but right now, she will raise her head up or keep it too low on her own, but that is what we want rather than artificially setting it for her and getting poorer legs and a weak top line. I am asking $15,000 for Sasha right now which I feel is very fair despite the reality that I have over $23,000 in her which is irrelevant, but I am trying to price her as an attractive investment for the personal or professional finishing that she will need to get to next years Congress or top circuits. With all of the horses that I mentioned above, none of them sold at this price while many were multiple Congress and World Champions and Top 10 horses or finalists and that was from 1993-2001. Sasha is with Julie in Canfield, Ohio. I am so very happy with the fine work that Julie has accomplished with Sasha and all of my horses in such a short time period. https://youtube/watch?v=Y-6uCzb0R9A
