Ok, I have some awesome news to confirm today... Bored? Game! will be hosting a monthly meet at the Swan Inn for anyone that wishes to get together, bring in games and have a social evening in a warm friendly atmosphere, meet new people, try new games, or simply come and just watch a game being played. They have set aside a nice alcove corner for us to use which will be reserved each month and they dont mind if some of the tables need pushing together to fit game boards on them. The nights will be run on the first Monday of the month, starting next month (03.11.14), an event will be posted up shortly. The pub is open until 12am so I reckon there is enough time to finish a game :p This pub has recently been took on by new owners (who also saved it from being demolished). It has been re-decorated and has a warm friendly atmosphere, not to mention real ale! I will set up an event post to gauge numbers so I can let them know if we need a bit more space. If anyone wishes to organise any kind of particular game on the night then make it known so we can try to get numbers together to join in, also this isnt just to play one particular game in general, if one group wish to play say Munchkin and others Netrunner then thats great, the idea is to bring the gaming community together and enjoy themselves :) This can be discussed on the event page when it is up and gives everyone the opportunity to put forward what they will bring or want to play :) The address is: Swan Inn, Long Lane, Halesowen, West Midlands, B62 9JY. If anyone lives nearby others then taxi sharing could be an option on some nights I reckon :) Lastly, thank you to Justin for putting a good word in for me and helping get this set up, and also to John and Lorraine at the Swan for letting us do this and giving it a go :)
