Ok, I hope this isnt taken the wrong way by anyone. I am home after the car show, having tried to watch all the performers. There were some that need work, some that dont seem to belong and a lot of people who just didnt perform well who are on stage performing a track off their mixtape featuring... Wait! You are on stage, asking the crowd to turn up for your performance of a verse you wrote on some other artists track; is that accurate? Im not knocking mixtapes, great way to promote and give fans a treat to how you might have rocked a certain track; cool. When did it become criteria to be allowed on stage and act like people should know you? Do you even have a single out or coming out? Just wondering. I know its a different era and the way things are done in the business are different but are there no standards? I saw 10 dudes who were trying to looks like little wayne, sound like lil john and I had never heard of any of them. But they had mistakes, featuring the artist who actually made the songs (is that legal to say?). Again, not knocking mixtapes, they are cool and have purpose. I just have issue with people being on stage performing unoriginal music.
