Ok, I just got home from the KI$$ show at Jones Beach and have an awful lot to say, please bear with me. So Def Leppard was very good. They gave the fans what they want. Every person there had to be thinking they would close with Pour Some Sugar On Me and they did not. How nice is that? A band that changes their setlist! KI$$ played the same tired songs they play every damn show. Even the same videos playing in the background every year. Its just crap. Only change was it was nice to hear Hide Your Heart but Aces version blows that away anyway. On to some positives (yes there were a few) 1. They did not have Eric and Tommy solos thank god. 2. They did not have Tommy do Shock Me which drove me over the edge last year. 3. Pauls voice was the best it has been in years. HOWEVER, I attest that to A LOT of extra background vocals. Gene sang alot of Pauls parts. It became apparent that was the case when he butchered Love Gun. When Eric sang Black Diamond I almost had heart failure. The difference between this year and years past is when I booed Thayer in the past people applauded me, this year I got dirty looks. They are truly trying to erase Ace and Tommy. I am sad to say when the lights went down the place did seem sold out. They had old merch there with Ace and Peter replaced by the impostors. We are losing this battle. The only thing that can save us now is Space Invader.
