Ok I just read something in Road Runners Club of America which first I thought I was reading one of The Onion articles, but the after doing some research it is truth. Here is what I read Some marathons are allowing people to get picked up in a sag-wagon then dropped off close to the finish line so they cross the line and grab a finisher medal. In 2006 the RRCA issued a joint statement with USATF noting course cutting is cheating. As you can see in the attachment picture you will notice in the disclosure of Rock n Roll Marathon Series that if you feel like you are going too slow you can be picked up with sag-wagon, and then get dropped off any where you want, and you get to keep your time, which means you got to choose your pace. This is the craziest thing I ever read. Why Why Why?. If that is the case why not let the people stay home, and just send them a finisher medal. I would never run a marathon that offers this deal. What is your opinion.
