Ok I need Everyones help here in Southern Illinois! I list of schools, 4-H groups, scouts, any kid related groups, Home School families and Home school groups (You know its been about 20 years since I was home schooled so uhh Im glad to say my old group We are Never, Ever, Ever, getting back together! ha ha) etc AND GOOD CONTACTS! Im tasked at creating an educational and kids program at my museum (mine mine! yay) ANDDDDDDDD...... I want to start getting letters out to Teachers, parents, groups/leaders etc BEFORE the new school year and BEFORE summer So they can become aware of what Im trying to do with new programs for kids and also that we exist and are a really cool place -- History is FUN people! Lets teach our kids that History, Genealogy, LOCAL History, Antiques and more are VERY important, fascinating and they can start early to take over the past for us! We have an Original Jail, Historical Home, Library of Family history, original clothing, Police/Sheriff original items, Charlie Birger items, Native American arrowheads, rooms and rooms of amazing and one of a kind items and were right across from the Old Bank Restaurant on the Square in Marion so you can get a tour with us and get breakfast, lunch or a snack affordably in a like-minded original setting. So help me out! Ideas? Who wants a tour? Who wants to bring a group of any age? HELP HELP! My brain has been on overload with excitement and like a mouse with two pieces of cheese to choose from, Im pleasantly.....overwhelmed! :)))) join our FB page Williamson County Illinois Historical Society and like the page! :)
