Ok, I need a little advise. We got a dog on Monday from a young couple from California. He is a very well behaved 7-8 month old puppy. We got him as a Christmas present for our 8 year old son. When we were introduced to him he was great, but later that night when my husband came home from work, Gunner the puppy, growled and barked at him. He didnt want to have anything to do with him. He did the same thing to our neighbor who is also a male. He did it again yesterday towards the UPS man. Today when my husband got home from work, he spoke nicely to him and reached down to undo his leash, which is only on him when no one is home so he doesnt run off, and he snapped at his hand. My husband said that if he does it again he will have to shoot him. My question is, does anyone think that its possible for him to be trained? Or will he always be aggressive and a biter? I will not allow him to shoot him, so dont worry about that, but would it also be ok to see if there was someone out there willing to take him and train him who may have more patience then my husband. Please no snide remarks about my husband, we all have our little things that we wont tolerate, his is biting dogs. Thank you in advance for any advise you have.
