Ok, I need all my prayer warriors working overtime today. We r still here at Vandy in the ICU with my father in law, Bruce. Hes been here on a respirator for 9 days. They tried to take him off the vent on Thursday , but due to his throat swelling , he had to be re-intubated. His MRI just came back clear, that means no major new stroke. This is good. But he has been non responsive since we got here, which is very bad. Long story shirt, if he doesnt do well when they take him off again, then a choice has to be made to put him on a tracheotomy & feeding tube (which Bruce does not want) or just let him go as peacefully & painlessly as possible. We still have no idea what kind of state he is in cognitively at all. BJs sisters are flying in tomorrow. Bj is having such a hard time. It had been very difficult. Please pray for Gods peace, wisdom, guidance, strength, comfort, & most of all, His Perfect Will be done in the next few days as we face these difficult decisions. Please pray for the doctors as well. Please pray that Bruce not suffer anymore , & if he stays with us, he has a good quality of life. Love you all & we will keep you posted.
