Ok. I need to rant juuuust a little. I started to watch a movie that Netflix recommended because it had Jason Lee in it, whom I adore. Well, turns out the premise is guy has bachelor party, gets drunk, sleeps with girl who turns out to be fiancés cousin, spends movie trying to hide this from fiancé, hilarity ensues. During the course of the movie he is told multiple times by male friends not to worry, its a guy thing. So heres my rant. I know PLENTY of guys for whom behavior like that is NOT routine. Guys, are you ok with that kind of generalization? I really dont think its funny on SO many levels, but do you appreciate all being categorized as man whores with no self control? I would find that horribly chauvinistic if it were aimed at me. And when did we as a society decide that its just boys being boys and its funny and no one really gets hurt in the end? I just really cant enjoy this movie because it makes me mad. Sorry, Jason Lee. Fail.
