Ok. I need to stop discussing the Ray Rice situation. But before I stop, I must say.... 1) I guess I saw the wrong video because clearly he walked towards her in the hallway (some even say he spat on her) and then he walked towards her in the elevator and struck her first. REGARDLESS, he is a 210 lb football player. Restrain her, sir, but do not punch her in the face. And after he knocked her out, he treated her like a bag of trash...he even kicks her while she is unconscious. *blank stare* 2) In my opinion, this is not the first time he has struck her. They have been together for years. And unfortunately, it most likely wont be the last. 3) The casino now says that the NFL never asked for the tape. Meaning, they never wanted to know what happened in the elevator. Therefore, the NFL is wrong for how they initially handled the situation. 4) Guess what. People have the right to outraged about this video. Ive seen posts and comments about Ben Roethlisberger. Is Big Ben wrong for raping women (if he has in fact raped women)? YES, and he will have to answer to God for his actions. He deserves to be punished as well. But we dont have him on video raping a woman. I guarantee if there was a video of him committing a crime, people would be just as outraged. I certainly would be! BUT what does that have to do with Ray Rice? He was wrong, its on tape, and he deserved the punishment he received! I hope he never gets to play football again and gets some counseling. Period. 5) I have to stop expecting people to think how I think and see things how I see them. This is very hard for me and I am working it. I will say this. I am thankful for the way I was raised. I am thankful that my mom raised me to have compassion for others. I am a far from perfect but I am thankful that my brothers and I were given a solid foundation (morally and religiously) and clearly know right from wrong. That is all. Moving on to the next subject...............
