Ok... I played MGSV and the mechanics are spot on... the game play fun... but to me the one and only gripe ( and its a HUGE gripe) is the voice acting... David Hayter was and is the voice of snake... and as iconic as it is... to me this is just another stealth game in a long list of stealth game. It would be ok if kieffer Sutherland could at least separate himself from all the other voice actors but it got lost in the dialogue. It didnt have the grit that I was use to nor did it convey any sense of the big bosses ideals... to me it fell flat. Not to take away from Mr Sutherlands delivery... but as games go... it is not metal gear without snake... it woukd have been better if they would have used a totally different charactor all together. I understand the temptation to bring in a new group of players by rebranding but this is not one of those times. If it was to cater to the microsoft crowd that has not played the MGS series then its a gamble that to me doesnt pay out... tough buy a ps system and get caught up on the mythology or at least play it on steam or something do the foot work... we did by staying loyal... I think it may have lost a few of its loyal fans respect... but in the end its still a game and we will still play it albiet like sucking down on broccoli... its food and we need to eat.
