Ok...I rarely rant (at least not on FB) but were coming into that time of year that always makes me want to scream STOP IT!! And Im not talking politics becuse I got over my disgust about stupidity during the last Presidential election. Im referring to the deluge of posts that say something akin to :Its Merry Christmas, not Happy Holidays. People, get a grip; its only Merry Christmas if you say it to someone who actually celebrates the holiday, My family and I do, but we also have many friends whose faith or beliefs dont involve Christ. Tossing a Merry Christmas their way is as unacceptable, intolerant, and offensive as dousing a Buddhist with Holy water. And the irony of this is that those who seem to be the most rabid about the whole its not Happy Holidays thing are the very ones who have no problem bulldozing their way throught November, bleating about Turkey Day instead of calling it Thanksgiving which Im pretty sure is what it really is all about. Okay...Im done. So now you can light into me and REALLy let me have it.
