Ok, I was given the number 13, here we go: 1. I was born in Poughkeepsie, NY 2. I was hospitalized as a child, suspected of eating lead paint chips, but they never really determined what was wrong (that could account for a lot, lol) 3. Had an older brother Michael, who was born with a heart defect (that currently can be detected and corrected in the womb) who died when I was 7. 4. Idolized Evil Knievel, used to jump my brother and his friends…smaart 5. Spent most of my childhood grounded. 6. Have back flipped on skis, on purpose even… 7. Saw AC/DC open for RUSH before Bon Scott died and before wireless guitars; it took 2 roadies to handle Angus Young’s guitar cord. 8. Shortly after my eighteenth birthday I started tending bar at a place that I was a regular at for the preceding year (on a fake ID) Bonhomie Richard Tavern, Liverpool, NY….shout out 9. Served in the United States Coast Guard. I was a Corpsman and flew medivac rescue missions out of Air Station Cape Cod. My secondary training was Pharmacy Tech and was the NCOIC of the base pharmacy. 10. Became a father at age 21 (Andy) and then again at age 22 (Mike) and bought a brand new home at age 23. 11. Since that early over achieving I have wasted a good portion of my life, grateful to know that. (Better than remaining unaware, lol) 12. Have been married 3 times. 3rd time’s a charm…love you Jamiecakes! 13. Got sober 2006 and started truly living.
